Show Notes

Melody and I had the privilege to interview author and speaker Michael John Cusick on this week’s episode of the Undone Redone podcast. Michael is the President and Founder of Restoring the Soul and the author of Surfing for God: Discovering the Divine Desire Beneath Sexual Struggle. Michael is an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary where he teaches on addictions, human sexuality, and spiritual formation. He lives in Littleton, Colorado with his wife Julianne and their two children and enjoys mountain biking and trail running in the Rocky Mountains and brewed caffeinated beverages at all hours of the day.

In this interview, Michael unpacks his book’s subtitle, “Discovering the Divine Desire Beneath Sexual Struggle” and discusses how our longing for sex and sexuality stems from God-given desires within us. Michael also talks openly about our good hearts, loving ourselves, carrying tension, masturbation, and what he refers to as the Soul Care Highway.
