This week Tray and Melody talk Thanksgiving, giving thanks, and what that looks like throughout the recovery process. Speaking from experience, Tray and Mel offer words of wisdom, encouragement and motivation to make it through the often difficult holiday season when you are experiencing brokenness.
Tray and Mel offer some advice to help those going through this season. If you don’t journal, I encourage you to journal. Journaling allows us to stop and to look back at where we have been. Joseph had no idea that he was going to be the 2nd in command of Egypt when he was down in the pit. It is easy for us to flip a few pages of that, but a journal allows us to look back at what we have done.
Holidays if we aren’t careful can shine a spotlight on a dark time in your life. I encourage you to not isolate yourself. Find a way to interact with others. Also have realistic expectations for the holidays, life is going to happen so don’t freak out about it.
