Therapist and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Becky Whitson joins Traylor and Melody for Episode #25 of the Undone Redone podcast. Culturally, there is a good bit of misinformation surrounding the subject of sex and pornography addiction. Many immediately assume that if someone is a sex addict, then children are at risk. In this episode, Becky speaks authoritatively on the subject of sex addiction from both her personal experience from being married to a recovering sex addict as well as her clinical expertise as a CSAT.
If you or someone you know is dealing with the issue of sex addiction, we hope that this open and honest discussion about sex addiction will help shed light on this issue that is becoming more and more prevalent in our society. Please consider forwarding this important episode to any family members or friends you know who might be dealing with the impact of sex addiction first hand.
Through our recovery ministry, Route1520, we are in the process of launching our new recovery portal for men, MyGraceJourney.com. MyGraceJourney offers hope and healing for men who are currently struggling with this addiction in secret. If you are dealing with this issue and need to find a therapist, Becky mentioned SASH (Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health) as a great place to start in finding a local therapist. If you would like to contact Becky with any questions or comments, send her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
